The Cheryl Blair Lee NAIW Spirit Award is a perpetual plaque. The top plate inscription includes the award's logo and name along with the inscription “This award is given annually in the spirit of Cheryl Blair Lee, Michigan’s First National NAIW President.” The perpetual plaque contains individual plates bearing the name and year of each winning association.

The winning association has possession of the perpetual plaque for the year following its receipt. This allows the local association to display the plaque as they chose. They have the plaque until the next annual state meeting when it goes to the next year's recipient association. A certificate of acknowledgement is given to each year's winning association for their association's permanent records.

This award is sponsored by the Michigan Association of Insurance Agents.
